Patient Information

The more you know

We understand that hospital visits and stays can be a stressful time for both patients and their families. Be assured that we are here to assist you, and to help make your hospital experience a pleasant one. In this section, we provide practical, useful information that is of particular interest to patients and their families.

Visiting Hours
Support, from family and friends, is important to a patient's well-being. We are committed to creating a healing environment for our patients. For this reason, visiting hours are individualized for each patient.  A sign can be placed on the door if your loved one needs quiet time alone.  Our staff will also direct calls and unannounced visitors at your direction.  If you come to visit between 6 a.m and 9 p.m, please enter via the main entrance.  After this time, please use the Emergency Department entrance.

Family Areas
Even though all of our patient rooms are private, there may be times when a family needs a place during times of great hardship and during times of great celebration.

Each patient floor has family waiting areas which you may use.  We also have a chapel for times of quiet reflection which is located on the main floor of the hospital, near the cafeteria.

Gift Shop
Snacks and a wide selection of gift items are available in our lovely gift shop. Gifts include the following:

  • Baby Apparel & Items
  • Fresh Flowers
  • Greeting Cards & Balloons
  • Jewelry

  • Bath and Body Products
  • Gift Items (candles, flower arrangements)
  • Children's Games & Toys

The Gift Shop is open from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

Cafeteria
Whether you are looking for a quick snack or a meal, our full-service cafeteria offers food to satisfy your appetite. Hot meals are available during lunch and dinner hours. Lunch is served from 11:20 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dinner is served from 5 to 6:30 p.m.  If the cafeteria is not open, there are vending machines located near the Emergency Services Department.

What if I need an interpreter?
Language and hearing should not be a barrier in receiving personal, high quality care. That's why we offer interpreter services to those who are not comfortable communicating in English or who have a hearing impairment. Interpreters help you communicate with hospital personal, and are specially trained to assist you in addressing your concerns. For more information or to request an interpreter, please notify our staff during the pre-registration process.
