Children can choose from a selection of decorations to make their room a personalized and pleasant space. Ask your nurse about how children can make their room “their own.” All patient rooms at ZCH are designed to accommodate the comfort of our patients and their families. Private patient rooms and private bathrooms provide the perfect setting in which to offer advanced care and technology. A Family Lounge, with comfortable furniture, provides space for quiet time and visitor relaxation. If you spend the night with your child, a loveseat can convert to a bed, and a complimentary parent breakfast will be brought to your room.

Keeping Your Child Safe
Your child’s safety is a priority at ZCH. You can help by following these important steps:
- Become familiar with the hospital personnel who work in the Med/Surgical/Pediatric department and their routine.
- Never leave your child alone.
- Feel free to question anyone who comes into your room.
- Check for proper identification before giving your child to anyone.
