Amenities
At ZCH, we pride ourselves on being “Caring people…caring for people.” To us that means combining highly regarded medicine with attentive, safe and compassionate care. We hope the following amenities will make your stay or visit with us as comfortable as possible.
ATM
An automated teller machine (ATM) is located in the Cafeteria.
Chapel
We believe a patient must be cared for medically, emotionally and spiritually. Our chapel is open at all times to patients and visitors for prayer and reflection. It was designed with guidance from the Zeeland Ministerial Association to accommodate the variety of spiritual needs in our community. The chapel is located on the first floor, just east of the Main Lobby.
Food Services
Cafeteria
The cafeteria is located on the first floor, east of the Main Lobby. Lunch is served from 11:20am to 1:30pm, and dinner is served from 5 to 6:30pm. Snacks are available between meals. Meals may be taken back to a patient room.
Guest Meals
Guest meals are available for delivery to a room with a patient’s meal for a minimal charge. Nursing staff can assist with arrangements.
Nourishment Stations
Nourishment stations are available on each patient floor for patients and visitors.
Vending Machines
Vending machines are accessible any time and are located near the family waiting area in Emergency Services.
Gift Shop
Staffed by volunteers, the Gift Shop is located on the first floor, east of the Main Lobby. Snacks, stamps and a wide variety of gifts items are available. All proceeds are used by the Service League to purchase medical and surgical equipment and to help support a variety of healthcare programs and ZCH services.
Translation and Interpreting Services
Interpreter services are available via phone or in person for those who are deaf or speak a language other than English. A TDD is also available to those who have a hearing impairment. A nurse can help you connect with either of these services.
Waiting Areas
Specially designed lounges for family and visitors are located on each patient floor. Family areas can also be found in Emergency Services and Surgery. Reading materials, phone and wireless internet connectivity are all available in our family/visitor lounges.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available for patients, family members and other visitors. They are located at the Main Entrance of the hospital and at the Medical Office Building. Please ask a volunteer or nurse for assistance.
Wireless Internet Access
ZCH offers free wireless Internet access. With our wireless service, you can use your laptop to access the Internet from any unrestricted area of the hospital. Simply log on to your computer and click on the wireless connection called “INTERNET.”
